Ceský Krumlov Castle
The original castle was founded by the lords of Krumlov in the first half of the 13th century. The present chateau complex is one of the largest in Central Europe and it was recorded in the UNESCO List of World Cultural and Natural Heritage in 1992.
It has a 6-stories and 54.5 m high gothic Renaissance tower and the surrounding gardens are some of the largest in Central Europe.
The total area is 11 hectares and they are form the 17th century. They were changed from Baroque style to the Rococo, then to Classicist and then to English park in the 19th century. The gardens are dominated by Rococo summerhouse Bellaria and a cascading fountain with statues of water gods.
Inside the castle is a Baroque Theatre, which is a monument so unique that it has no equal in the world today. The Schwarzenbergs (1719 - 1947) left behind the perfectly preserved theatre with its priceless collection of original scenery, costumes, props and still functional machinery. Due to its age, the theatre is only used once a year, when a Baroque opera is performed in candlelight.
Also there is an exhibition of original Baroque statues from the castle precincts.

St. Vitus Church
This Gothic church was built in the 14th century and was reconstructed from 1407 to 1439.
One of the most important people in Bohemian history, Vilem of Rozmberk, is buried here. This diplomat, politician and highest ranking nobleman in the Czech kingdom was known for his admiration for the culture of the Italian Renaissance. He had converted the castle and town into a modern place of the Czech kingdom.
Regional Museum
The museum was re-established in 1946. The institution is located in a former Jesuit Seminary in the year 1650 - 1652. Museum maps history of the town Ceský Krumlov and its surroundings. There is one of the most beautiful view of the Ceský Krumlov panorama from one of the museum's windows.
Marionette Museum
This historical building, formerly the church of St. Jobst , contains an exhibition of old Czech marionettes and complete puppet theatres including stage designs and curtains from the latter half of the 19th century. The collection is complemented with modern gems of puppetry design from the National Marionette Theatre collections.
Egon Schiele Art Centre
One of Krumlov's residents was the painter Egon Schiele (1890 – 1918), and a museum of his work is located in town.
The Egon Schiele Art Centre covers an area of more than 4,000 sq m and presents mainly 20th century art and contemporary art, both Czech and international. In addition to the year-long exhibition of the graphic arts of Egon Schiele and exhibitions that document his life and work, visitors can also examine the cartographic reconstruction of Schiele's motifs from Ceský Krumlov or see some of the other various exhibitions the museum is currently organizing.
